Dental
According to a survey carried out by the British Dental Health Foundation in May 2011, 56% of the participants rated the smile as the most physically attractive feature on a person. This was followed by face (53%) and eyes (51%). Dress sense, body shape, hair and height were also measured, with the latter bringing up the rear on 25%. And with an image obsessed wordwide culture with celebrities making their dental heath a top priority, it is surprising to see that over a ¼ of British adults have not visited their dentist in the last two years. With similar numbers only brushing their teeth once a day. As dentists recommend brushing at least twice a day, and flossing once a day preferably before going to bed, it's not surprising then that 3 in10 suffer from dental pain, 31% from tooth decay and with 4 out of 5 in the population have at least one filling1.
So do you fall within these statistics? Do something about it! Did you know
"Skipping brushing twice a day causes serious problems for oral health. Data shows that people who brush just once a day increases the incidence of tooth decay by a third, compared to people who brush twice a day. The incidence of tooth decay also reduces by 40 per cent for people who visit their dentist at least once a year, compared to those who visit the dentist less frequently.”
