Arnold Kegel found the answer to female stress incontinence - but the medical profession have kept it secret for over 50 years
Arnold Kegel described 'pelvic floor exercises' in 1948 and he made it quite clear that the pelvic floor muscle could only be improved by squeezing against a resistance - he used the phrase 'resistive exercise'. Every form of exercise involves squeezing, pushing or lifting something - so why are women told to squeeze 'thin air'.
The essential method of Kegel's exercise programme was not generally picked up by the medical profession and is rarely taught. Every new mum has been told to do her 'kegel' exercises, as are older women with stress incontinence and prolaspe problems, but because they are not shown the correct method many women become very dissatisfied with their lack of progress and give up exercising all together. The result can be years of embarrassing incontinence problems, prolapse and other health issues ending up with complicated surgical procedures.
The PelvicToner helps you identify and isolate the correct muscles and exercise correctly and effectively - against a resistance that you can adjust to your own ability. This is especially important as your muscle strength improves. And because you are following a set pattern of exercise it means you have to set aside 5 minutes of private time each day which is so more effective than trying to remember to 'exercise' while you are vacuuming or waiting for a bus - as some books recommend!!

90% of women have never had a vaginal orgasm!
What most women have not been told is that Kegel also identified that the muscle tone in the pelvic floor is directly related to the ability to have a vaginal orgasm during intercourse!
His research, with 3000 women from 16 - 74, also showed that women who thought they were sexually dysfunctional because they had never had an orgasm, achieved their goal with some pelvic floor exercise training!
If you perform regular, effective pelvic floor exercises after childbirth you can improve the physical contact between you and your partner and
maximise your sexual enjoyment. Pelvic floor exercises can make your vagina more sensitive by increasing blood flow, which may help promote multiple orgasms. They can help even if you think you have become
too big for your partner.
And pelvic floor exercises are still the best cure or prevention stress incontinence!
Clinical research in 1999 established that pelvic floor exercises are far superior to electrostimulation and vaginal cones in the treatment of stress incontinence and should be the preferred first choice of treatment.
Why the PelvicToner is so effective
The PelvicToner is a progressive resistance exercise device enabling you to increase the resistance as your muscle tone improves. It also helps identify and isolate the pubococcygeus muscle and gives you an instant confirmation that you are squeezing the correct muscle.
The more you work at it the better and quicker the results. Surveys indicate that 90% of users become more aware of their pelvic floor within a week and within 4 weeks 87% had noticed an improvement in their bladder control and 80% had noticed an improvement in their sex lives!
"Good morning, I just wanted to give you a bit of feedback on my PelvicToner which arrived this week. What a super product. I've used it twice a day (180 reps on the strong set of springs I ordered) and can already feel more awareness of the pelvic floor muscles. It's like they've woken up since using them with the PelvicToner which requires concentration and the correct use of the muscles - which is actually visible. I've had disturbed bladder nerve sensation since a very serious attack of Pelvic Inflammatory Disease in January which also left me with an almost complete inability to achieve orgasm. I've made great strides in both departments this week alone!!
I'm so optimistic that I've discovered a method of helping myself without (further) hospital intervention and all the associated emotional trauma. I've always assumed my pelvic floor would be strong as my babies weren't delivered naturally, but until I used the PelvicToner, I didn't realise quite how much more supported my 'gynae bits' should feel.
Interestingly, since I've become aware of the pelvic floor muscles using the PelvicToner, I've found that I can now tighten them (albeit in a less controlled way) as I go about my daily routine as and when I remember, and in doing so, seem to be becoming increasingly 'tuned in' to the sexy sensations that produces...much to my boyfriend's delight! Ha ha! Thank you, Natural Woman!" AC, Norfolk - reported in Closer Magazine Aug 2005
The PelvicToner is easy to use and the exercises take less than ten minutes. Regular use will begin to tighten your pelvic muscles after one week. Some women would like to have much stronger muscles and stronger springs are available. Click here if you want to download the instruction leaflet in print format.
